First Day of School

Aiden's first day back at school went awesome.

outside with new backpack

Coloring sheets out for when the kids arrived. Aiden went to color right away and did a great job on his turtle.

One wall in the classroom. Aiden's bag hanging. I think Aiden's 'hand' was on the Teacher's Helper for the day.
End of the day...Aiden said he did "lots of fun things" at school.

Meet the teacher

Today Aiden had his meet the teacher day. This year he is in the 3 year old, MWF, Sea Turtle class with Ms Tracie & Ms Dee. Aiden was somewhat hesitant about today. He was happy to know that I was staying with him today. He kept close to me when we got to the classroom and didn't want to talk to the teachers much. He did a little better when the one student he knew from last year arrived and then was his usually self when he saw the animals and letters on the rug after checking out the room.

Logan even got in on the coloring.

Aiden sat with some of his friends during the chapel afterword and danced and sang with them. I think this helped even more, that not everything was new and different.

Landscaping Day Two and Three

The work continues...mostly on the irrigation system.

These from mid day 2

The end of day 3. The irrigation system mostly done and stones around the trees done. The remaining work should be done on Monday.

Camp Scrap Layouts

Today is the last day of week four of the five-week Camp Scrap Workshop at BigPictureScrapbooking.com. There are five weekly emails with inspiration for a layout, plus occasional bonus emails with more inspiration. I have been scrapping away and thought I'd share the layouts inspired by this class.

The layouts I've done so far have been inspired by sketches from the Camp Scrap teacher, May Flaum. It's been great to get some of the pictures from my 2008 binder scraped.

This one is of Aiden just shortly after he learned to walk.

Our baby shower for Logan. I also used papers from the Cocoa Daisy's June 2009 kit.
Thanksgiving 2008

I love this! I have finally done a page for my People We Love album. I so need to do more for this album.

This is not quite done. I have other pictures for pages from this MN visit which by the way is the same vacation we are leaving for tomorrow.

Another page from the vacation above but will go in Aiden's album. Buttons and stars cut from patterned paper.
What I love most about this class (and all of May's classes) is getting embellishments used and adding extra decorative touches.
Now off to get the boys up from naps and pack!

Family

As we get ready for our road trip to Wis and MN to visit family, I thought I post this picture from the family reunion last year....Aiden and Logan with their second cousins! I hope we see them all again this year!
